Hi seniors,
I need a clarification with regard to employment reference letters. I am working in a reputed MNC who does not provide any reference letters on their letter head. I cannot get a letter signed and notarized by my reporting manager either. What can i do in such a situation. Can i get a letter from my colleague stating my roles and responsibilities and get it notarized.
Also, is it mandatory for my annual salary to be mentioned in this reference letter, or can i submit my latest revised compensation letter as a proof for that. Thank you in anticipation

Hi All,
Please find below my doubts. I am seriously confused here experts - I need your help.
I am on WP working in Canada now. My permit ends by Dec End 2016.
I am planning to get married in November2016.
I have also applied for Express entry and submitted my docs during may last week, and medicals records are updated to the application. Hope I will not get my PR before this year end.
Questions:
> I applied EE as single marital status. Till what step Can I add my spouse to my PR application so that we can do landing together and get PR together??
> Can I apply a tourist visitor visa for her now, if that is approved will that affect if i add her to my PR application??
> Since I am getting married when my WP validity is less than 3 months, my employer will not apply for spouse dependant visa I believe, to avoid this I intend to apply visitor visa to take along with me to canada after marriage in India.
Please provide my clear explanations and probabilities as I dont know how to proceed now??

Hello Everyone,
I have a quick question and if there is an existing thread on this, excuse my message and please advise so
My question is regarding Work Experience back at home. I have 1 year experience in my home country and I will input the information to update my EE profile.
My concern is that if back-home work experience should be under some certain professions? or Could it be anything as long as it is full time?
And what kind of proof would be asked as an evidence (except for employment letter ?
Many Thanks
Hi,
You can add or delete work experience entered in your EE Profile before ITA.According to the Canadian National Occupational Classification (NOC), skilled work experience means:
managerial jobs (NOC skill level 0)
professional jobs (NOC skill type A)
technical jobs and skilled trades (NOC skill type B)
You must have at least 12 months of full-time, or an equal amount in part-time, skilled work experience. Full-time work means at least 30 hours of paid work per week.
Your NOC Code and Skill Level Type (0,A&B)in your EE profile must be based on the job duties mentioned in your work experience reference letter.Match your job duties with the correct NOC Code and stick to that when you submit your EE profile.
You can find more information on CIC website to find your NOC.

My express entry profile score is 440. I am waiting for my wife's ECA report which should give me further 10 points. Is that enough? Past cut off scores rarely reach 450
Hi,
CIC draws are unpredictable sometimes and 450 is a good score however you need to wait patiently for the cut off scores to come down or search for PNP options and check what best suits you.Another option for you is to wait until probably October or November,2016 where OINP will be sending out invitations with a score of 400+.

Job bank registration is a must after you create express entry profile.

If your profile has become ineligible, you will have to create and submit a new one. Please note you need to register on Job Bank unless and until you have an LMIA supported job offer.
Once you complete your Express Entry profile, if you are found to meet most of the requirements to enter the pool, you should get a message in your MyCIC account with this information (for Job Bank registration)
To create an account:
- go to the Job Match sign-in page
- click the “Sign up now!” button
- read the privacy notice and click “I agree”
- follow the instructions to create an account.

Hi there,
First of all thanks for all the help and useful post that got me started.
I am yet to start my application process, i have applied for IELTS and the earliest slot available is in july, well not too far, and also applied for a transcript of my university qualification.
But after reading all the forum posts, I feel a bit pessimistic, I have calculated my CRS on CRS tool page and even in best case scenario i am barely making 400 points (i am 37 years of age, with a B.Arch degree and over 10 years of experience) and at this time people with even 450 CRS aren't getting invited. So my question is, is there any use of applying? or it is just impossible with my CRS score?
Regards

Hi,
Welcome to the forum. Frankly speaking, you won't get the ITA straightaway for this points as the lowest cutoff seen till date has been 453.
Having said that, 400 is not bad either and can get you nomination from provinces. The provincial nomination gives you another 600 points and there are number of provinces with different cutoff respectively. With 400 you are eligible for most of them.
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/provincial/
Alternate solution to get 600 points is to bag 'LMIA approved job offer' from one of the Canadian Employers.

Aditya

Hi Aditya, thanks a lot for your answer. Is there any guide of provincial nomination (not about how to apply but what are the limitations of provincial nomination compare to express entry program). Reading through the forum it appears that getting an LMIA approved job offer is a pretty rare thing as well, is that so?
Thanks and Regards.
Sorry guys
Where exactly in JobBank i am suppose to register? I have been subscribed to the job offers for years now, but i guess that´s only a job alert.
Please advise me where exactly in the site
Regards
Fernando

Hi,
As per my thoughts, below are the features/limitations: (Guys/Seniors please correct me where I'm wrong or missing something)
1) Getting a nomination from a province takes some time, since provinces provide a specific number of nominations each year. Their nomination program opens only a few times every year where they roll out nominations.
Hence, waiting for the nomination program to open, applying for the nomination and waiting to be nominated may take a few months.
2) One can apply to as many provinces for nomination but should be nominated from only one Province. Ideally, as soon we receive the nomination from a particular province we should inform the other provinces/territories to which we have applied and withdraw our nomination application.
3) Once nominated, we get 600 CR points boost which gets us the ITA in very next draw and regular process follows of getting the PR.
4) Provincial Nomination signifies that you've applied interest in immigrating to a particular province and hence we should be working in that Province on getting the PR. Our port of entry becomes that province and ethically we should spend some time (a couple of months) in that province. (I couldn't find any strict regulation anywhere regarding the time to spend in the province that gave you nomination, before moving out to other place).
Hope, this information is helpful.
