GU 1 or Ghost Update 1 occurs when you receive the final decision of approval. GU 2 or Ghost Update 2 is when IRCC has mailed your PR card. You won't normally receive email notifications for GU 1 (hence, the reason it was coined "ghost" updates). For GU 2, I received an email notification but no details what it’s all about until I log into my IRCC secure account and read the updates in my application status.
Anybody around 11 January eCopr received PR cards or Ghost updates? I know some people from 11 January and 23 January received PR cards as well. This is so random with Calgary VO

My eCOPR is Jan 2 and I got the approval already for the PR card March 15 and PR card mailed March 18, now waiting to receive it. You can view my signature or back read.
I did call IRCC last week but I think it didn’t influence in any way coz my call was purely an inquiry, and my update seems in line with the current sequence I’m seeing immediately following those December eCOPRs who were getting the updates last week.
I probably called them like 5 times during my wait lol, and used the webmail, and emailed the VO too. None really helped speed up my case as far as I can tell (and I wouldn't call my case fast either, it was 78 days between my eCoPR and GU1)

Same here, eCoPR on Jan 09th from Calgary - No updates yet.
Wrote to the local MP - they came back saying IRCC said that the Application is still in progress.
On asked by the MP's office on reason for delay as it has passed the Processing times, IRCC says it will take them another 15 days to replay after checking with the Processing Office
The wait continues
I got my eCoPR on Jan 18, linked application to GC Key on Jan 30. The Final Decision says "Your application is in progress. We will send you a message once the final decision has been made." from the first day of linking the account, but no updates since then. Is this GU1? If Yes, then is it common to have such a delay between GU1 and GU2?

That is not GU 1 yet. GU 1 will show the date of approval and GU 2 the date the PR card is mailed. My GU 1 and 2 are just one business day apart but I think we have also seen some that have gaps of several days or weeks in between. It took me 73 days to receive GU 1 from my eCOPR date.
