received an email today about the tracker and how can I check the status. However the email says that I applied for grant of Canadian citizenship. But I selected the certificate of proof.
Did I apply for the wrong citizenship? Anyone .

Certificate of proof is for existing Canadian Citizens.

The correct application if you are applying for Citizenship from Permanent Resident status is 'Citizenship Grant'.

I had some difficulty with the webcam for the test. Looking it up it seems like a bug they've had before (the camera disconnects before starting the test). So I did complete it on a different device with plenty of time and repeated the test a few hours later with no disruption (the link worked oddly enough). Passed on both times with 20/20. But if I don't hear back within a week I may ask for a note to be added on my file or something.

30 days is not bad

It’s different now because tests are happening before all other checks - background, prohibitions, language and presence. So, we aren’t sure of the new timelines just yet, because there isn’t enough data for the new style of processing applications. Barely anyone from November applications has gotten their background check completed even though they passed the citizenship test in December.
