If you’re from a country in Asia, Asia Pacific or the Americas and we received your application before December 31, 2018, you don’t need to give your biometrics, even if your application is still being processed.
This same requirement has applied to:

Feeling stupidly restless today. Submitted medicals on December 3rd, got my ITA on the 12th, Application sent and AOR received on the 19th.
I actually expected to get a medical furtherance but haven't.
There are good odds my application is going to be complicated; my wife is a Permanent resident of Canada and thus has to be listed as such, but no longer meets the resident requirements in terms of time spent there, however, she had her PR card renewed this year based on compassionate and extenuating circumstances.
The wait on updates is driving me loopy but, realistically, has only just started.
Any other brits kicking tires around here? Most of the people in my IELTs were actually looking at heading to Australia or trying to uncomplicate their EU residence.
Have you tried to check if you would qualify for Australia? What's your score?
I would fall under subclass 189 with a score of 70, which could leave me waiting a while to be invited to apply; a 75 would mean I'd be invited right away. The Australian system is a little more complex with minimum invitation scores attached to certain professions.

It usually takes about 30-35 days for medical to get updated. However, there has been a delay recently due to winter break and hence they are trying to catch up with it. Give it another week or so and you will get an update.
I'll resign from my current job as I'm planning to spend time with loved ones and travel in India as well. May I know how I can inform IRCC regarding the last working day at my firm ?
Also, I'm planning to visit UK before landing in Canada. i.e. I will go to UK for 2 weeks and then go to Canada from there. In that case, do I have to do anything? I will apply for UK visitor visa after getting PR of Canada only.
