Does anyone have any experience in extension of closed work permit?? I have a restriction "yes" on my PNP certificate and I'm already on a closed work permit.
I'm just asking that would there be any issue in applying for closed permit extension??
Not sure where you are at now.. but what I did to apply for a closed work permit when my PGWP was almost expiring was to fill up the IMM5710E (application to change conditions, extend my stay or remain in Canada as a Worker)..
Then on Page 3, I put Exemption from LMIA and choosing that option.. I needed an Offer of Employment Number (LMIA Exempt) from my Employer.. The number looks like this A00XXXXX .. and my employer did that thru the Employer CIC portal..

May I ask you questions about Closed Work permit extension application?
I did closed work permit extension application ONLINE instead of bridging work permit application because I have 'YES' Restriction on my nomination letter.
I submitted the following ONLINE:
Job offer letter
Passport
Photo
PNC
SINP work permit support letter
Proof that I Meet the requirements of the Job being offered. ( like training certificate, reference letter from the company I work)
NOTE: my job is NOT regulated
In IMM5710 form
I selected (I am applying for) : Work permit extension (same-employer)
Type of work permit I am appying for: LMIA-Exempt
I have AOR, already and currently waiting for MR.
1.Do you think I a on track on the application I did?
2.Did you also submit the same documents when you applied?
3.Did you submit the compliance fee receipt together with your documents?
Hi...Due to Covid 19 flagpoling is not available to submit any application.My lmia has been approved and I need to apply for a closed work permit.My status is currently a visitor and I was advised to apply outside Canada.Would anyone know if I am eligible to apply to Canadian consulate in USA?Kindly advise as I am really stuck.

Have you applied for Provincial Nominee under LMIA-exempt closed work permit? Im planning to get an LMIA based work permit by the time my PGWP expires. I wont qualify to apply under AINP with my PGWP because of my education.

If you submit application before expiry date of another permit, you can continue to work under same employer or same conditions until decision is made on your application.
