extend closed work permit!!

Hi Forum,

Does anyone have information regarding extension of closed work permit. I had PGWP after studying in canada then i got closed work permit when my PGWP expired on the basis of SINP certificate.

The PR is in process right now (already have AOR) and the closed permit is expiring in April 2017 , so the question is how to extend the closed permit, as the time is not enough for PR processing. Will the same documents be used as were used in previous closed work permit application?

Does the employer have to pay the compliance fee again??

OPTION 1: YOU CAN APPLY FOR BRIDGE WORK PERMIT ALONG WITH THE COPY OF AOR AND PNP CERTIFICATE IF YOUR PNP IS NOT RESTRICTED TO YOUR EMPLOYER. FEE: $255

OPTION 2: YOU CAN APPLY FOR CLOSED WORK PERMIT ALONG WITH YOUR PNP CERTIFICATE, AOR FOR A CLOSED WORK PERMIT/EXTENSION.
FEES: $220(NOT SURE HOW MUCH YOUR EMPLOYER HAS TO PAY) + $155

GO TO YOUR NEAREST BORDER AND SPEAK TO CBSA FOR YOUR BEST MATCH.

I just want to confirm that the closed permit CAN be renewed more than one time. or is it just one time thing.

Hi,

Closed WP is not a one time thing like PGWP.
As long as your PR is under process you will get extension(s).
