I have a question for everyone.

My cousin filed his application on October,2011 and got AOR on Dec,2011. Ever since then his wife didn't receive anything until now. His wife's medical expired Sep, 2012. However his ecase went "in process" since February 14 2013. So he wants me to ask senior members on his behalf. Should they expect passport request or re-medical?

According to him ecas turns into "in process" when u actually expect passport request so he is confused.

Please share ur exprience!!

i think it could be additional document request + police certificate and remedical request...

medical or Remedical has nothing to do with genuinity of marriage, real or fake.... its all abt general survey of health, any infectoius, psychiatric disease or any other thing that may be burden on Canadian govt. or danger to public etc

When they sent re-med and additional document my ecas didnt change and that's what confuses us.

If we talk about to retain canadian PR then u have to meet residency requirement which is to live atleast 730 days in canada in five years.
If u talk about in context of sponsorship then i think u should not live more than 3 months.
However I must told u that in my case my wife lived with me 5 months in Pakistan and surprisingly CHC d'nt object her such long stay .
Choice is yours .

Sometime long stay may impact your case positively as in my case.
but i suggest u should not stay more than 3 months.

By the grace of Almighty Allah I got my passport request...i got 2 Surprises today...1 my wife came from Canada and secondly got my PPR....thanks a lot from everyone..

but call centre agent confirmed that my file is still sitting in Ottawa
since then waiting for communication from immigration office

O ok! so you are a fresh applicant too! Aww don't worry hun you are not the only one getting this ottawa drama, alot of 2012 applicants are facing this problem. When you asked about going back to visit your hubby. I thought you were actually planing to live with him and that's why you are so concerned. In fact it's very good for your sponsorship to visit your spouse. Especially that your going for two months, It's all good!!! ever since I started my husband's application I have visited him twice
