Hello Forum, My Timeline are as below:

File submited: Feb 24,2014
Email Received: March 20,2014 ( File number issued, also saying that we will infrom you when a decision has been mail )

E-case : shows file submitted date (Feb 24,2014) only AND medical received.

When called cic, they mentioned that my file is on hold with mississuage as they are checking if I or any previously sponsored "Parents" have taken social assistance (welfare). And to call back in 2 months.

Is this normally happens with all files? or is it only me since I have past record of sponsorship?
Also my son was born 2nd week of JAN,2014. While submitting file (Feb 2014), I didnt have his birth certificate from NADRA yet. Now is it advise-able to submit my sons birth certificate to mississuaga office??? If yes then kindly advise if there is an email or fax I can send a copy?

thts not normal usually they just send one email after decision made

Mean time, while checking online status of my application, it just shown application received and medical received nothing else. Is there anyone whose case is filed in early 2013 and can they share the relevant information ? My first medical is expired in Jan 2014 and till yet no call for second medical .. Does anyone have idea how long it will take ?

Hi Princess123. I filed for my husband in Feb 01, 2013. Received the confirmation on Feb 25, 2013 that its approved from Canada and sent to Islamabad. Status of my application online just shows application received and medical received. Nothing since then. Abt 19 months now. Very disappointed.

hi ma husband applied in june 2013 file received on 24 june 2013 and 24 july i received a mail that descion made and you are eligible and file is transfered to is lamabad
now status is application received decsion made its been 15 months no further update ist medical has expired no further request so dont know how long it will take to process as file in london office
