I noticed that! I hope it comes through soon. I did noticed someone who was approved and they never got a GU or an update saying their Background Check started. We can only hope! I find it weird that you had your RPRF but not portal yet, seems backwards to me.
Tell me about it, patients and the unknown are testing lol! I gets worse when people get approved in weeks, I know its pot luck but jeeze its grinding!
Yeah. It's kinda weird that I got an RPRF Letter and not PR Portal yet. My letter states:
"This is in reference to your application for permanent residence in Canada. In order for us to continue the review of your application, we require the following documents:
1xxxxxxxx - NAME:
> RPRF: For additional information regarding the Right of Permanent Residence fee and how to pay your fees, please refer to the following link: https://www.canada.ca/en/immigratio...ess-entry/apply-permanent-residence.html#toc2"

Do you think they pick the applications based on the ITA date? Mine is Nov9 AOR and Oct26 ITA, but no updates to the application other than biometrics and medical.
Yup hoping for good news very soon. Thank you! But getting stressed over the silence. They asked me to pay for my RPRF on January 26th, been almost 2 weeks with no updates or anything.

I don't think it is from the ITA date. Mine is Sept 28th and AOR (Nov 17th since I have to wait for Police Certificate) while I'm seeing applicants who got an ITA on October and got their approval already.
No I didn't. The last update was ADR not required. They responded to my webform regarding my medical being under review for 2 mos. They just said we have forwarded your medical to the reviewing department.

Did you pay RPRF Upfront? I called IRCC again and my background check hasn't started... still... My Eligibility is passed already and I don't get why background check haven't started.

Yes I paid upfront. How about your medical did they update it? Been trying to call since morning...no luck...last I called my security has not started too, do you have dependents?
Noticed something new for my application today. I have only received one other GU (an email from IRCC saying "Your application status has changes") on Jan 4 so far, and I thought that was related to medical and biometrics.
My updated timeline:
CEC inland with one inland dependent
AOR - November 30, 2022
Medicals passed and biometrics linked - January 3, 2023 (upfront medical) Background changed to "Your application is in progress. " - February 7, 2023
