Canadian Passport - Mail-In Application Timelines

Thanks i am looking out for person who submitted and still waiting for passport. I submitted on 19th Jan and still they are saying its not showing in system so little bit getting worried.

What does your postal tracker show? Is it delivered? I think someone in this thread had their application lost in their office, but was eventually returned.

No its delivered just called and file is created finally

im panning tosend application through courier (whatever gives tracking and speed delivery)... which one is better ?

And how many days can the passport takes these days ? I see it’s 20 business days for processing..

so what to expect ?

Courier is your preference. I sent it via Canada Post, even though the address is in Quebec for regular mail, it gets delivered in Ottawa since that’s where the mailroom is.
I got my citizenship certificate within 13 calendar days and passport within 20 calendar days.

How is the processing times. Can any one suggest how to speedup the process to get asap ?

Application Submitted: 21st Jan
Called for Status: - 4th Feb received File number for myself and Hubby
Called for Status: 8th Feb Husband's application approved. Mine in process still but received Tracking number for citizenship certificate for both

do you mean ...canada xpress post? how abt payment ? Does $160 includes for couriering the certificate and passport as well?

Not sure about express post. But Canada Post for sure. Yes we dont have to pay for any courier

I used expresspost.
You can pay the $160 for processing the app either via credit card or certified cheque. They will pay for return courier of certificate and passport on their own. It may come in one package or two separate ones.
