Senator Jaffer's tweets can sometimes misleading as twitter may only show her reply, without the question that she is replying to. This has more to do with Twitter, and less with her.
We should tweet Sen. Omidvar the following, Senator Eaton tactic is to delay this bill another 162 days as she did before. I am sure she knows but it is nice to let her know that we know.
I don't get why people make a big deal out of these 102 days? I mean the Senate didn't even sit in all of July and August. So of course if Senator Eaton adjourns the debate right before the break, there will be a long break until she can speak.
Now that we're seeing some light at the end of the tunnel, can someone summarize what would be implemented right away when this bill passes and becomes law?
CIC must start preparation now for high volume of applications on their way.......
Most of us already completed 1095 days or on edge of fulfilling days criteria some of us will get credit of Pre-PR time as well at end of day up-to reaching citizenship oath it will be same time line. Currently CIC processing application from start to end almost in 6-8 months which can increase up to 14-18 months remember they have same workforce.
I am extremely happy for strip out citizenship amendment but not very hopeful that things will change due to 3/5 rules
Wow... That sounds like a very bad news to everybody who is waiting for the Bill to become a law soon! Looks like we can expect weeks of discussion, adjournments and votes again.
The question is why all those amendments are being introduced at that late stage! The Senate is like a bad student who waits until the last moment to start preparing for the final exams.
