Let us know when you hear back. Ottawa received my ARC documents on March 16th and I am still waiting too...I will keep you guys posted.

It would be nice to have a timeline so we will know what to expect lol.

Hi
One or two pages is okay keep it short but address all the issues. You don't have to go into detail about the claim you are making a statement about the reasons why you should be granted authorization to return to canada and stress the fact that he was a minor. Check the operational manual the link is in this thread.
The payment can be made at a bank and you email Vienna a scan of the draft payment along with the statement. That's how my husband did it and there was no problem, we email them later and the VO confirmed that everything was received

Regarding the refugee claim documents:
The Immigration and Refugee Board keeps all the documents in all past claims so if he needs to submit it he can request it from the IRB. If he is not in Canada he needs to give authorization to someone in Canada to get them, this may take a month or two, I'm not sure.
In the meantime he can send the payment and statement of Arc and send other docs later
Thank you for your advice ! Yes we did stress that he was a minor in Canada and that was our main point, and how his circumstances have changed dramatically, to put it briefly :) if he needs those documents I'm sure my mom can get them for him. I'll have to check the payment requirements again just to make sure :)

Hopefully you will hear something soon ! Yes it's a long nerve-racking process with CIC, I've been pretty patient throughout the process since I usually hear something back after 3 months max. It's hard to have patients when your dealing with something that has no timeline :( I'm sure everything will be ok it's just very stressful. I'm glad I can find people who understand what I'm going through :D

I am not sure where you have to send your documents, it will depends on which Visa Office asked for it.

I sent my payment receipt and ARC documents to Ottawa as they were the one who asked for it.

I will send my documents to Vienna, if I have to send it anywhere else I'm sure they will let me know, thank you :)

I have paid my fees, sent the receipt and letter to Vienna, fingers crossed !! Thank you all for guiding me, I was really confused about this ARC thing :o
I wish for everyone to have a fast ARC :) :)

Hello dama2015 ,

since you receive and submitted the IRB decisions maybe you can help me understand the document I received from IRB .
From what I have been reading , CIC asked for IRB decision , I ordered the file from IRB and they sent me a CD with 150 pages !!!
Is that what you sent to immigration or just some files ? or did I get the wrong document ?

Thank you

Hi!

When we were asked for the IRB documents this is what is said on the letter they sent us

"Please provide the IRB reasons for decision and order (full document)."

However, the document that was sent to us was 8 pages...on the first page it says the exact reason for the refusal and the rest is the case in more detail.

Maybe your case was longer or more complex? I am not sure but when we requested it my husband just scanned me a signed letter by email requesting for the decision made my the Immigration refugee board concerning his refugee claim and to send it to my address. I faxed it to the office that was in charge of his hearing and a few days letter i got it in the mail.

Also, we were told that we could send the document by email which saved us time and money...but i am not sure if you can attach such a large file.

Hello Everyone,

I would like to share my experience with everyone. I hope it will help you guys.

I had to apply for ARC as well as i was deported from Canada in 2006. My family applied for refugee which was declined and i was 18 when i had left Canada.
My wife applied for spousal sponsorship in March 2015. In December i was requested for ARC. I sent on 12 Jan 2016. I mentioned very basic stuff as we bought our own tickets to leave Canada and we left with in the time allocated. Explain why our case was declined and what i have been doing for last 8 years and why i want to come back to Canada. Also told them i have a Son who was born in Canada and he needs to start school as he is growing up. basically stuff like that. I got a reply from them on 8 March 2016 stating that it has been approved. my letter was 1 nd half page. i didnt send any proof even though i mentioned if they require anything i could arrange it for them. I made the payment online on their website and sent it along with my ARC letter in same envelope.

I hope this information help you guys out. Good luck to everyone.

Thank you ,
I have checked the CD and it was the whole file with history and By laws and too much stuff , the Decision part was about 4 to 5 pages only .

Now I wait for them to request it , hopefully soon .

So the timeline you have is 2 months. Tomorrow will be 1 month since I sent in my ARC documents, so I am hoping to get back a reply from them within the next month lol.

It shouldn't be a long wait time. ECAS says medical received about a week or less after my husband did it so its not very long.

Hopefully you will get PPR after you redo the medical. You should do it as soon as you can though to save you time.

I want to share my story with you.
Have been in Canada as a Refugee Claimant and had my case denied in Dec 2010. Was sent back home. I satrated a Provincial Nominee process and after applying for PR they requested ARC. Submitted ARC in September 22,2015. I am a Sao Paulo Visa Office applicant. On March 22,2016, exactly 6 months after I submitted ARC I was requested to do the medicals. Did not have any confirmation stating the ARC but I assume that if they requested medicals is because they have approved my ARC. So my timeline for ARC is now 6 months to Sao Paulo Visa Office. I believe that this timeline varies from Visa Office to visa office. Let´s hope for the best and way for the PPR...Good luck guys and God bless.
By the way, my letter was just one page!

Question... If the arc is approved then does that mean the security and background checks are done?

You need to have a valid medical, so they can finish processing your file. (Visa, PR)
My arc is approved but my medical expired, I too submitted a remedial. I wish they would have just extended it.

I am not sure how it works but I think they do the security and background checks before ARC.

How long did it take your ARC to be approved and which Visa Office are you dealing with?

Hi everyone ,
Just a question , Is anyone requested gcms notes (atip request) after arc ? Does it show anything about arc like a due date or something like that on notes ? Thanks
