Is it a requirement to send a copy of birth certificate? I have many other types of government identification, but cannot locate my birth certificate. This is for a outland sponsorship application.

It only asks for one from the sponsor... If you use one of the ones listed it should be fine. I had made a copy of everything before hand so included both... (I tend to be overly safe).
So if you have one of the others listed, I wouldn't worry.

You only need one piece of identification. I sent only a scan of my passport.

Still getting my package ready and will be sending the package out this month.

I realized after receiving all the Sponsored Person documents back from my wife on Monday that I forgot to send her IMM1344 to sign... Arrghhh

It's really good to check 100 times because I checked everything and came across this. Sorry don't want to make anyone paranoid.

For some reason I thought the Sponsorship forms were only to be signed by the Sponsor and the Sponsored person signed by the them. Lesson learned.

I agree checking paper many times as you can. i was more concern to forms that i need to sign before sending to my husband in canada. well even i check many times still i have some correction, like one letter of his x name that i misspell. you think its ok use correctional tape so my husband will not reprint it. he just received papers today. so we will be working out to finalize everything then prob next week he can send to Mississauga.

So now that one form is headed back out to the Philippines to be signed and hopefully I get it back next week or by the 15th.

All is not lost because this still gives me time to finish putting together our pics. Really want to get this process started because it is a 13 month waiting period.

"you think its ok use correctional tape so my husband will not reprint it"

I'm really not sure about whether you can use correctional tape to overwrite a mistake. I know CIC is picky but not sure how picky they would be about this.

I know it's a real pain making a mistake on a form and having to send back and forth. Wish they would accept a Fax.

Hello guys,

My file received by CPC-M on July 28th 2016.

So I am almost August 2016 applicant.

Let see how much faster file are processed ?

Anybody know ? Which month's applicants got decision made ? or for which month CIC is working to issue decision ??

I heard that the processing time is faster then shown on cic.

Hello everyone!!

I'm a US gent (from Spokane, WA) married to an awesome Canadian woman (from Bellevue, AB)! We're finished with our Outland package, and taking it to an attorney in Lethbridge, AB for a quick once-over on Thursday. Hopefully it'll be on its way early next week.

Quick question: After we get SA from CPC-M, does it go to Ottawa or Los Angeles next? My supplemental checklist asked me to choose from Los Angeles or New York, NY for an interview (if required). We chose LA.

I'm just digging into the posts here, and I see references to CPC-O and LA.

Good luck/bon chance to everyone else! :D

A mistake on a form depending on how serious of a mistake can result in the entire application being returned.

Do not use whiteout, and reprint the form.

Depends on the strength of the application, the processing VO, and whether or not CIC has to request documents or asks for an interview.

With a straight forward complete application it will take much less than posted times.

applications do not go to LA unless they require an interview, and you don't want that to happen. The form they still have in that package to "choose" your interview location is no longer valid, and it's not known why it's still in the package. US applicants do not receive a choice as to where to have the interview. ALL interviews happen in LA. NY does not process spousal applications anymore. assuming your application is straight forward and there are no flags to trigger an interview, your application will be processed in Ottawa.

Our application was successfully delivered to CPC Mississauga this morning! :) It was signed by someone named D. David.
Does anyone know how long it usually takes from delivery date to AOR1?

If they send one (some don't get AOR1), it has been taking an average of 18 days.

FedEx picked up our package today. It is estimated to deliver on Thursday at noon.

I put all pics in a word doc and printed in color. It was easy to organize in chronological order.

Hi i am also August applicant so add me in this spreadsheet...

Please don't spam the same question in multiple threads.

Without knowing your time line it's impossible to give an estimate.
