I'm 25 April 2020 Applicant. I got AOR October 29 2020, my file in process 1st December 2020 since then I didn't hear anything. can anyone advice me if it's normal time line at this time ??? or I should contact CIC ???

Hello moderator,
Are there any applicants whose citizenship application is being processed at the Surrey, B.C. office? It's great to see many of the members here receiving their citizenship tests, however our file is not having much of an update. Below are my details, if you could please add to the spreadsheet you are collating.

Location: Surrey B.C.

App Type: Family (2 applicants)

Physical Presence Days: 1098

App Sent: August 18, 2021

App Delivered: August, 26, 2021

AOR: February 02, 2021

In-Progress: January 12, 2021

Hi members,

I've checked the status of my application on the IRCC website and there is an update from Friday (Jun 4, 2021) asking me to take the online exam between June 14, 2021, and July 5, 2021. However, I'm not physically in Canada and will probably be back only in September/October.

I know that I need to contact them to reschedule, but the problem is that I haven't got any email. The IRCC website says to "Contact the office that sent the invitation" to reschedule, but nobody contacted me and I don't which office to contact (I live in Calgary, so I suppose it will be a Calgary office). Any ideas on how to proceed?

You'll receive the email a few days before the test window start date (probably 3 - 4 days before June 14th). You'll find instructions to reschedule the test in that email.

Thanks for replying. Do you have any idea how long it's taking them to acknowledge this kind of email (request to reschedule the test)? And if I can choose the period to retake the test?

Not sure about your first question. Could take a few days.

For your second question, all you can do is provide them with a timeline of when you are coming back. If there are slots available when you come back, they will send out an invitation. Otherwise, you'll have to wait until IRCC invites you AFAIK.

Mine was done April 21th 2021, RCMP completed and mailed to IRCC on May 20th, 2021, IRCC received it on June 02nd 2021. Background verification still in progress since then.
