CIC appears to be in total mess!! A friend of mine sent his application in May, received by CIC around May 7th or 8th just received his AOR and we are still waiting.

I remember I joined this forum almost 2.5 years ago asking questions and following along with the PR timelines. Now I am back here again for the last milestone, which is the Canadian passport. I have submitted my application on March 29th, received April first, but nothing yet. I know its coming soon guys, so hang on tight!

Definitely they do not know what they are talking about. How did they come up with 14-15 months of processing time when the test is not happening.
We cannot estimate the processing time if the test is not resumed, receiving AOR is not enough to estimate the processing time. calling them is just a waste of time and energy and we also know that all Feb, March, April and May applicants who received AORs are not just urgent. They really run out of the explanation now.

From their website, the processing time starts when they receive a complete application. Some people who received their AORs shared their letters and it clearly said we received your application on xxx date and sent you an AOR on yyy date. xxx date is when your processing time starts I believe.

Finally got our AOR. Sent our app April 11, they received it April 20. AOR received September 29.

Congratulations who got their AORs! I was having a close look at the excel sheet and noticed, none of April applicants from Hamilton got AOR yet. Kind of interesting! Even, some of January applicants from Hamilton got their AOR really late. Please give us a shout if you are an April applicant from Hamilton and received AOR as well. TIA!
