Answer to Question Number 1:
I will tell you my personal experience, at Toronto airport,they didn't ask for gold I had carried with me coz my wife was carrying all her stuff with her..Tough if we are going to attain to marriage in India we have to bring ornament for the purpose.
VO shouldn't ask for gold on re entry because that is my personal asset and as a custom/culture in INdia,a lot of ppl wear gold all the time....so in my opinion u should not worry for all that
Answer to Question Number 2:
The answer is NO, your PP and stuff will be delivered to your home address moreover they update ecas with DM after they dispatch the PP's to you...!!! My ecas was update on the same day when I got my PP..so we can't expect when we gonna get DM..I hope that make some sense..!!!!
