After calling 1-888-242-2100, wait for message which asks to select an option, then press 1311 quickly to reach the part where it asks for your file no. and birth year. The message at times can take forever and if the line is busy, they just drop you off, and you start again..
I just called CIC and asked for an update. They told me that my application is approved and it is only a matter of final check and issue COPR/ PPR at this time. The agent also said that this could be anytime from now on...
Also all the checks ( criminal etc) are complete and passed as well. My file is in Ottawa.
So lets see when they send PPR. You guys should call them up as well.

Got the same answer from them when I called this afternoon, I am just confuse coz my mp said that my application has been finalized end of January but when I call Cic today the agent said that it is still in Sydney and still in process. Almost 13 months of waiting....

How do you know your Security check has not started? If you are getting this info from the GCMS notes - it is incorrect. As per CIC policy ( due to national security reasons), they will never disclose the status of your security check on GCMS notes.
I have read a few people complain about that in this forum ( security check not started) - but infact, they will always write that even if you order the notes after your PR is complete.
Also the answer you get from the CIC call center agents really depends on how you ask the question. Dont just ask is my application complete or approved. The way my friend and I asked them is - "Is there anything missing on my file from my side? I was just wondering if everything is moving smooth."

Hi bro I got it on my gcms notes what I shared is from what I got from my gcms notes I think gcms notes r not made by us so they won't be incorrect as coming to talking to cic agent as you got a proper answer that's why u have a different opinion about them so everybody has his own view of point so chill bro
