Dear all,

is it normal/common for someone to be asked to do biometrics again for their refugee PR even if they had given their biometrics for the tourist visa a few months before (meaning they were still valid and less than 10 years old)?

Thanks!
YES , IT IS NORMAL

how could someone know if the CSQ is included in the PR application?
  • "First, get your CSQ, then send your PR application."
  • "You should fill out the CSQ section with the CSQ number and include a copy of it in your application , So, you know whether you have a CSQ or not.

Quebec announced today that the total number of refugees for 2025 will be between 6,600 and 7,200 people. This means they won't be issuing more than that number of CSQs for 2025. Given this limited number, I think the waiting time could extend to 5 or 6 years. :eek:o_O

I sent my PR application and CSQ at the same time. How could I update my CSQ number to my PR application?

July applicant here, received PAL on Oct.19, no eligibility letter since then. I checked other people's timelines in this forum, 99% received their eligibility right after PAL. What is wrong with mine...

Hi.
Is there a same situation with me? Me and my daughter are the dependent of my husband applying for PR as protected person. He's already in portal 2, waiting for his PR card or eCOPR.
My question is why I haven't received any request for my medical yet? I'm done with my biometric, and some additional documents. I though once my husband become PR, his dependent will be the same. I'm leaving outside Canada. Can anyone here enlighten me pls.

I submitted my PR application from Quebec. Do you think leaving Quebec could reduce the processing time from 42 months to 25 months?

Greeting everybody!

I submitted on March 30th, 2023, and got my eligibility on July 12, 2024, but I haven't received pre-arrival yet! I saw everyone got pre-arrival first and then got the eligibility! any idea?

Thanks

I passed elegibility But I didn't have notice and nor PAL. My Former lawyer told me it's not usual they send to refugees. For other streams they used to do it.
