Hi everyone,
I have a question. I just talked to an agent from ırcc. I got information about my pr application. Also for my partner. He recently sent to them form for me to get information about his case. Representative.

Agent said that for you it’s 25 months now. For your dependent it’s 53 months! I am like what!!! I said he is with me in Canada and we’ve applied for pr together. We both got pre arrival letters. He insisted. He said that no for dependents it’s 53 months:) I said I knew that it’s for who is outside Canada. I mean the dependents outside of Canada. He said no. I didn’t insist that much.

My question is dependant in Canada, not refugee, applied pr together will get pr at the same time or after me? Which is 53 months?
Thank you.
My brother in low's case was accepted and his wife was rejected, he applied for PR as a protected person and applied for her as a sponsor. Both of them received portal 1 & 2, and PR card same day despite the IRCC agent told him that his wife application could take 53 months.

It is really complicated that each agent told me different things about this situation and the last one told me it won't take long for my partners application after I received mine. She told me maybe a couple of months. I prefer the take the optimistic agents view. They all say opposite things unfortunately

That’s really good. I don’t think agents know too. Because agent is telling me from the website. He said that your spouse is your dependent in your application. It shows 53 months for them. Lol

Interesting. From beginning I know that when you apply in Canada together you will get your pr together. But today they said something different. Also my partner did his medical and biometric after 6 months our application. At the same time I received AOR. Right now we both received pre arrivals. It doesn’t make sense he will wait 53 months.

Here’s our timeline for our Inland dependent application:
- Applied: June 12, 2023
- AOR: November 17, 2023
- Medical: Passed
- Eligibility: not yet started
- Progress: 72% completed
Estimated compilation date May 2025.
My wife is the primary applicant, and I’m the dependent. Both of our applications are being processed simultaneously, although I haven’t received an AOR yet. I can check my application status through ECAS since I have the application number. Based on the current progress, I believe our applications will finish around the same time. And still did not get the eligibility or anything. Is that bad sign? or Normal

Everything looks normal. I am the main applicant. We both can’t check the application status trough ECAS. I received AOR and eligibility letter as a principal applicant. My partner did not receive. It’s very normal. But we both received pre arrival letters. We both passed the eligibility.
