2023 PR Applications Timeline (Protected Persons & Refugees)

Greeting everybody!

I submitted on March 30th, 2023, and got my eligibility on July 12, 2024, but I haven't received pre-arrival yet! I saw everyone got pre-arrival first and then got the eligibility! any idea?

I received pre arrival and later eligibility. I believe it’s fine even if you don’t receive them. If your gcms notes says that you passed or when you call IRCC if they are saying that you passed that’s fine.

Hopefully for the next year Immigration will move faster. I know they start working in office after almost 3 years home´-work. Maybe now they are faster.

I can’t wait for the time where IRCC will start processing PRs for protected persons at the same speed they do with International students and other programs. This wait times are honestly ridiculous and there is no explanations on why and how they go about the whole process. Its so annoying!!

They consider us inside Canada and safe. May be this is the reason for delaying.

I think is because what theay are doing is helping to us. The other streams are economic so maybe that´s why they priorized.

Please note that the processing timeline is expected to be around 24-25 months, considering they are still reviewing 2022 applications. However, I remain hopeful that the timeline won't be extended further and will remain consistent for all applicants.

I don't think that can be a reason as far as I understood it can be discrimination against us as protected person that's why there is always delay in our applications, how come in other program streams they got PR within 6 months or even early why long delay in our applications when everything is completed for applicants who applied in 2022 and even in 2023 they just kept it on hold and same thing happen when you apply for citizenship normal work 3 to 4 months but for protected person for no reason 9 months to 1 year or more.

We always pay our tax and work like the other person here , we also payed our application fee completely. this is really a discrimination between us than the others

Me too, three years paying taxes. Working hard, I had 3 jobs at same time.

As I see in 2022 forum, Applicants Oct 2022 received P1 & P2 , So IRCC processing time 25 months completely correct .

I agree. I noticed that people usually get their decision, P1,P2 or ECORPs 24th or 25th months.
