Do you mind asking which office did you apply to? Paper or Online? Was it an open work permit extension or closed?

None. It was an in Canada application with covid guidelines.

it was for a closed work permit extension LMIA exempt.

Hey Guys! My WP extension Inland application has been approved.

Submission Date: Sept 25
Approval Date : Dec 17
Letter received on Dec 18.

Maybe this can help someone else be hopeful.
I applied for my OWP on September 29, and I got the approval last Friday. I could not apply for my OWP at the same time that my husband applied for his PGWP. However, I did not wait for his PGWP to be approved, because my OWP was expiring. So I applied with his PGWP letter of application, not the approved PGWP. Also, at that time, he had only a job offer, not the 3 recent paystubs regarding the last months. So, I uploaded the documentation as we were getting them. I mean, first, when we got his PGWP I uploaded it, then one paystub, and then the others. I uploaded the docs 3 times. My agency also made a letter with all this explanation, and I got my OWP. Definitely, I did not follow the usual recommendation, but I did what I could do at that moment since I had no option. The purpose of this is to help someone in the same situation to be hopeful.

Letter received on Dec 21.

Hi, I applied online! Don't be worried. I applied on Sep 29 and my visa expired Sep 30. I applied in the last day, that's why I could not wait for my husband's PGWP. Everything will be fine!

If anybody knows how long it takes to get work permit at home after approval..mine approved on 14th December..still not received work permit document at home
