No, it is for students only. It is student direct stream, in full form.

You need to sit for Academic. General is for PR applications

Hi. We accept both IELTS Academic and IELTS General Training for the Student Direct Stream as long as you took the test within the last 24 months before the date of your SDS application and you’ve scored at least 6.0 in all four skills. Hope this helps.

How would universities accept IELTS General? Sorry if this may sound naive, but this is a news for many if its acceptable.

no institute accepts IELTS General for acedemic programs but Most of them are accepting Duolingo online test, so along with IELTS General a person can go with SDS visa processing.

YES, it should not be older than 2 years on the day of application submission.

Thank You i was confused since all agents are saying absolutely no for general ielts but the IRCC site does not mention any type of ielts for SDS

Hello,

Can one apply for study visa when having a valid EE profile and EOI for SINP.
Since the CRS is not coming down soon, hence decided to go for study option for 1 year.
Do we need to mention about the EE profile in SOP while applying; should I remove/cancel my applications in EE before applying study visa.
Kindly advise.
