That is very interesting. You are from Hong Kong but your application is sent to Cairo VO. I thought it would be sent to applicant's country VO, which would be Hong Kong. There is always exception to intuition.

Even though our application was mailed in originally, we now have a status bar in GC Key! It estimates ours will be processed by next November 30 2019. AKA 12 months. Status bars for all, hurrahhhh

Hahaha! Based on what I'm reading the status bars don't seem to mean anything. They are just counting down a year from date of application. Kind of pointless!

Yes, that is quite annoying, actually. Cairo VO is apparently known for being slow.

just received an email from CIC Sydney that my wife application has been transferred to CIC - Mississauga for further processing. The timeline so far:

Application Sent = Dec 22, 2018
Application Received = Dec 28, 2018 (PA is in India)
AOR1 = Feb 20, 2019
Sponsor Approval = Feb 28, 2019
Medicals Received = Feb 28, 2019
Medicals Completed = March 04, 2019
Medicals Passed = No update yet
Background Check = No update yet
File transferred to CIC - Mississauga = March 08, 2019

Guys I have a small problem here. I paid the biometrics same day. But the webform has an error of uploading the receipt. So I sent my letter via webform without attaching the receipt for biometrics but I just mention the details of the receipt, till now I dont have any response.

I am in Canada and my wife and kids are in Dubai.

Can someone tell me the step by step procedures of making done the biometrics.

If I need some form and ask my wife to go to Canada embassy in UNited Arab Emirates for fingerprints?
