So one of the things that I heard from a friend who used to work at CIC is that when applications are received they eveluate if the background check can be done from Canada in a transparent way or not. So it wont come as a surprise if US cases are sent to Missisuaga because information from US is easily accessible to Canadian authorities. Same applies for countries such as Australia, UK and many european countries. This is not the only consideration , ofcourse the amount of backlog also dictates the outcome.
Thanks for posting some actual inside information -- this makes a lot of sense, and basically aligns what I said in my post above this in that the countries with more accessible background checks are uncoincidentally probably also the visa-exempt countries. I suspect if we started tracking better which apps were from visa-exempt countries versus non-exempt we'd find the patterns more similar and predictable.
I sent it around 10 days ago through the web form and got no response from them. How do did upload your receipts? through contact us form or with your cic account?
I'm not sure if I did it right.
q
I did according to info in payment request. Payed online, upload via webform https://secure.cic.gc.ca/enquiries-renseignements/canada-case-cas-eng.aspx
On the 5th working day I received an answer “We are pleased to confirm the reception of the following document: NAME_DOC.pdf. We have forwarded it and the information you provided to the responsible office for their consideration.”
I checked my application on ECAS its showing decision made.
when i login to cic..its showing the below status. anyone know whats is the next step from CIC? did my sponsorship approved?
Background check Your application is in progress. We will send you a message when we start your background check.
Final decision Your application is in progress. We will send you a message once the final decision has been made

When they request an MR do we have to submit any forms after the principle applicant has gone to do their medical exams or will the panel physician submit the medical report to cic? Im a bit confused, do we have to bring form IM 1017B to the panel physican when we go for the medical exam and send it to cic? When does this form need to be filled or does it even need to be filled out?

First of thanks for always taking the time to reply. Second, what is the reason for carrying the form. Does the physician upload the form and the medical report to cic? Is anything required from the principle applicant once they have done their medical exams ?
Thanks for your reply.
Well, I already paid for it through online services and just attach it through the web form (the contact form in their website) and not in my cic account since nothing it there. Did I do it right? It's been almost 2 weeks since I paid and upload the receipt and this is what they replied to me:
"We have verified the sponsorship application and were unable to find information stating that you are the representative for the principal applicant."
I'm not sure what to do now.
