Hi,
I've seen a few posts about people "linking" their PR card to their account.
Is this something I need to do actively and what are the advantages?
And if yes, how do I go about doing it?

if u want to know about your application then you can do that you need to link ur application to mycic account so you will get information on message or in mail

Just got an update. Landing date October 10, resubmission request on December 05, photos delivered on December 07.

Where do you see approved? Is it on the initial page or on opening the application saying final decision has been made?

I am not able to link my pr-card application to my express entry account.

pr-card application reached on 19th dec

Irrespective of whatever information I enter surname/first name/UCI etc, system is not able to find my application.

suggestions welcome.

You won't be able to link unless you have your pr card application no starting with R. I was not able to link mine and my family members but once iiIgot to know application no. For my husband I was able to link it.

I am not sure if it is a ghost update. The current status for PR card changed from "submitted" to "Application/profile updated", but nothing changed for my status. After viewing the application status, the current status changed back to "submitted".

Landed 20 Dec @ Peace Arch. Linked PR card to my account on 30 Dec. Checked my account today and think it was what people refer to as ghost update

I checked my account again and the status was updated. Clicked it to see the messages and status shows as approved and I can see my PR card# and expiry date.
Now waiting for them to mail and receive it. I am in YVR so will probably take a while for mail to arrive.
