But good to know for the rest of us that ghost update != approval. I wasn't aware.

And they have reached December 19th. The 19th is when I landed in the Etobicoke office. I just got approval today. Jan 30th

any update on photo resubmission? i sent web form 3 days back i got reply today stating this


We have verified the information you provided and we were not able to locate your photographs in the system yet.

However, rest assured that this situation is normal since the responsible office is currently processing photo retakes received before November 16, 2018.

In my opinion this is just a copy-paste from several answers the officer was giving since days. According to few people in this forum they are already processing beginning of Dec photos.

I logged into myCIC account now and did see my application status as updated. I clicked on it and as expected no new messages. Went back to home page and now the status automatically changed to submitted again. Haven't received any email.
