Hello everyone, i badly need some help from all of you, is it true that if the principal applicant is a police officer their application for spousal sponsorship is diffrent? My application was received on aug 4 2017 but my background check haven’t started yet and they said that if im an officer mine will take a long time to process, is this true? Thanks in advance

Yes, previously the message in eCAS was "we will send you a message when we start processing you BGC". But since May 11 this year the message has changed to " we are processing you BGC we'll send a message when we need more info from you". Until yesterday when i checked my online application status, "Decision Made" already previously "In Process"

My ECAS hasn't changed since October 28th, but I ordered GCMS notes in June, and it says they are processing eligibility, but security and criminality not started yet. I don't think they always update ECAS or CIC account.

From what MVO are you? Try to enquire or email them and ask the visa office.

-MAY 6 2018- BGC IN PROCESS
-JULY 10 2018- DECISION MADE in ECAS
