Hello everyone, i badly need some help from all of you, is it true that if the principal applicant is a police officer their application for spousal sponsorship is diffrent? My application was received on aug 4 2017 but my background check haven’t started yet and they said that if im an officer mine will take a long time to process, is this true? Thanks in advance

No, i just read it in some other forum, im just worried because it takes a long time for me to get the service record from our country, some said background check for uniformed personnel might takes from 2-24 months.

That's ridiculous! Hope not that long! In my case, I submitted 2 police clearances. I've waited 2 months to get my police clearance from Hongkong, maybe that's one of the reasons why they just started my BGC. I had my Pre-ARrival seminar last Feb... anyways let's hope for the best!
