No. The entire process should be completed within 12 months after receiving the AoR.

in april end got the letter stating i was randomly selected for the QA review.
sent all the required docs, fingerprint and proof docs within 15 days. since then application in processing only. application is for me and my wife. only mine got qa review.
called cic today, was today background check for mine still ongoing. been in canada since 2007.

I was selected for random qa too. I sent mine yesterday. Waiting for reply.
