Hi guys, so my background check turned to "not applicable" when I got my pre-arrival services message but I checked now and it turned back to "We are processing your background check. I received email from Ircc that , they have received my application for PR. But I am unable to link my application to online account . Request any body to suggest me.

However you can also check whether the same is linked with your application by checking on Ecas while selecting the Identification Type as Receipt Number (IMM 5401) and Putting the Receipt Number in the Identification Number column.

Anyone knows how to cancel an existing application? I applied extension to my work permit and it is still in process, meanwhile my PR application was approved. I figured I'd best cancel my work permit extension?

CIC will not send any mail for linking ..you need to follow aforesaid steps...
