The same is almost here. App. received on 2016-10-27, medical passed by mid September.
I called in today and it said the files after 2016-10-22 has not been processed. So, it looks like it is going

Hi, everyone, hope you guys will have good news coming up...
My file was received on 2016-10-25，and I called last Friday and they said the files after 2016-10-20 has not been processed.
currently my status says background check in process, the eligibility has not started yet...so far, no AIP, no SP
Medical was received and succeeded in mid-September.
Is anyone in the same boat as me?
How long do I have to wait for the next step?

I submitted my application on Sep 2016, got my medical exam request on June 2017 and received landing interview notice last week.
15 months, if i manage to get PR after landing interview

If you call the call centre, the automated attendant that answers the phone call will tell you that you are right in the timeline when they are currently processing. So any time now.

No AIP? I thought medical requests usually follow AIP? At least thats my case.

Btw I am an Aug 29 2017 applicant. Since medical approval I havent hear anything either. One thing you can do I guess is to contact your MP office - at least they told me that my security check started early Aug 2017 so at least I know its moving/held up at CSIS not CIC. Its equally frustrating nonetheless but guess I am sadly used to it now.

Has someone recently paid the Right of Permanent Residence fees here lately. I am trying to follow the options that cic has given on the approval letter but i am unable to find Right of Permanent Fees-paying inside canada option although i do find option of Right of Permanent Fees. Any guidance would be much appreciated.

Hi there,
I suggest you can try to directly talk to the agent. I have similar timeframe and experience as you. For my case, while the auto message still states they are still processing background check, the agent told me the case is already transferred to local office and asked me to wait for the landing notice.

Is there anyone who applied on June 2016 and still waiting for an update from CIC? I got an AIP on July 2017, since then nothing else going on. Getting lose my mind!

My Timeline:

July 18 /2016: application received

June 8 / 2017: AIP

October 10/2017: case transferred to etobicoke

Till Now waiting for the landing notice.
Did you try to talk to the cic agent?

For my wife, the med request came about 3 months before AIP. So no, it might come before or after, it really varies.
Don't let the process bother you, it's just a matter of time, so keep enjoying your everyday life!
