@ Sylvain and Profiler, you both should strongly consider getting licensed to act as pr agents, lol. Not massaging your egos guys. The tsunami of pr information the both of you possess is amazing. The speed of light with which you guys profer direction and information to questions is also worth commending. Some so called 'immigration consultants' will charge an arm and yet bungle your application. Keep it up guys.

Oh I know much less than @profiler however like him, I like to help people here but I would not like to be "associated" with those so-called consultants that just care about their money and nothing else!
@profiler@sylvain1 question. Do I have to leave and re-enter Canada in order to validate Confirmation of Pr. If yes- is that something that I have to do right away or do I wait for PR card and leave/re-enter then?
Hi , I received landing interview request letter from CIC on 19th July. In the letter its written that I will be contacted by IRCC ETOBICOKE to fix an appointment for my landing interview. its been almost 2 weeks and I am still waiting for IRCC to contact me. Can anyone help me that usually how much time does it take for IRCC to reply?

No need to re-enter the country. The "landing" appointment is when you receive and activate your CoPR. It's like you enter the country there, during that appointment.

highly variable, but Etobicoke is normally slow (busy). Some (lucky) people get their appointment letter as soon as a week after DM, but some have to wait 6-8 weeks to receive the appointment letter.

Thanks for replying. So then I think I should wait for another month. I was just curious if everyone has to wait for it or its just me. I guess I have got answer to my question then !!

My wife was landing in Montreal (which is also a busy office) and we had to wait 8 weeks for the landing appointment letter, and 2 more for the actual appointment. But it's just a matter of time now, so you can start to plan your party anyway!
I got an email from Etobicoke landing, saying my pr will be finalized at the interview ...Attached to this email is a letter indicating the date and time of your permanent resident landing interview at CIC Etobicoke. what do I expect pls?
