I neither have sponsor approval nor AIP. They asked for medicals again despite having done upfront medical. CSE responses take ages, hence I did medicals again today.
Now, I see that they have started processing June and July applications. Was hoping April applications would get completed by July'17. But it doesn't seem like I will be landing anytime soon.
That still can happen anytime now. Really! In our case, from no news at all, we got SA, AIP and DM within 24 hours. GCMS notes ordered 12 days before SA and AIP stated that sponsor eligibility wasn't started... So I know it feels bad not knowing what cic is doing and when to expect anything from them, but hang on, once they look at your file everything can go very fast.
Prince, eh?
Sponsor can change jobs like they change underwear, if they wanted. No issue. Just don't default on child support, commit a violent crime, or claim social assistance. It won't matter as long as you avoid those.
I got letter from CIC today, 21 June 2017 that "it has been determined that you meet the eligibility requirements to apply for permanent residence of the spouse of common-law partner in Canada class. Please note that a final decision will not be made until all remaining requirements for becoming a permanent resident have been met."
From today, any idea when will a final decision be made?
We submitted all criminal documents together with the application that CIC received on July 2016
Spouse got her Open Work Permit since last year October 2016
CIC account says that she passed medical exam, Interview waived (not required for now) and no additional documents required

Congratulations, this is AIP! According to the stats in the spreadsheet, it's about 30% of chance to get DM within 2 weeks after AIP, otherwise the mean is 65 days.

If you are in Ontario (Ajax??), you might want to take that letter to Service Ontario and get yourself some OHIP (there is a 3 month wait -- might as well get that period started!)

Hi Profiler - my spouse got OHIP already when she got her last November. Her OWP was issued October and she got job November. She was issued letter of certification guaranteeing that her employment is more than 6 months, hence OHIP was issued.
See... I knew you'd poke fun! Lada, cause of the Russian wife... Funny guy lol
Nah charger. And my dad is an old school mechanic. I apprenticed years ago but smartened up. My kid is 4. So we got a tough starter out and in, in an afternoon. And only took half the engine out
