Apparently it's so hot in the US South West that they are grounding planes from flying. Death Valley, CA is going to hit 127*F. Wegas is supposed to hit 119-120*F. Yikes!
So as we prepare our documents for our landing appointment, just realized that the SIN paper confirmation we have expired at the end of working holiday visa, and we never updated it after getting OWP..
Is this going to be an issue?

If you got an OWP, no. You might want to mention that to Service Canada when you talk to them about your SIN. You were still entitled to work, and your company would still be remitting taxes on that account. It shouldn't be a big deal.

No, you will have to go to a service Canada office after your landing interview, with your CoPR and you will get a new SIN. It doesn't matter that it was expired.
We had days last week that had a Humidex of 35. Because of the great lakes, we end up with some of the most humid air around. It's like living in a hot-house.

In this area of Ontario, we are nestled in-between 3 of the Great Lakes. When it warms up, we get humidity x100. The air tends to get so thick, you can see the water. We get in the 30*C range for most of the summer. But there are days that the Humidex (Temp + Humidity) *feel like* 40-42*C (So ~108*F).

yes humidity is a big factor. I traveled in Columbia in 2005, we had everyday 40+ C with above 90% humidity. I couldn't do anything. I was just sweating doing nothing. Last summer, I traveled to Iran and we also had 40-45 C everyday, but with very dry air. That was really easily tolerable.
But that's the first time in my life that I hear they ground flight because of excessive heat.
