You know (just to add to your rant against rep), that's exactly what my brother in law did. It was confirmed by Quebec Immigration. But the f..... representative forged his signature to put himself back. Of course, that part was unknown by my brother in law until it was too late. This is in another program (Quebec skilled workers), but my brother in law missed a deadline to send documents (because the request was sent to the representative) and his application was closed/refused. I helped him to file a complaint and to ask Quebec immigration to reconsider their decision. About 6 months later, they contacted him by email and they asked him to send a copy of his own signature, and that it would be used in court. Then about a year later, they asked him to send the documents they required the first time. He sent everything they requested in January 2017, since then, no news. We hope he will get news soon, he started in December 2011...
We learned about the signature forging when we were preparing our spousal sponsorship application. That was then very clear to me that I would fill everything by myself.
We don't know that part, but we know that Quebec immigration asked for a signature specimen from my brother in law to be used in court, so we know the representative had a trial. We don't know what happened, but the fact that Quebec immigration reopened the case likely means the rep was found guilty. I know that not all of them are like that, but I don't trust representatives and this forum has provided several examples of why we should not trust them.
If there is an email address in the letter, you could forward it to the people who it belongs to. Explain how you ended up with it, and let them fight CIC?

Today my MyCIC account was updated and now, under the review of additional documents it is written "We do not need additional documents" Also, my Review of eligibility is updated to "We are reviewing whether you meet the eligibility requirements". Does this mean that I can expect AIP soon?
*wishful thinking*

ok, Ive heard of the AIP....is this it?? If so I got it today, this after my status was DM
"It has been determined that you meet the eligibility requirements to apply for permanent residence as a member of the spouse or common-law partner in Canada class. Please note that a final decision will not be made until all remaining requirements for becoming a permanent resident have been met. These requirements include medical, security and background checks for you and, if applicable, all of your family members, both in Canada and abroad, even if they are not applying to join you in Canada at this time. You cannot become a permanent resident until you and all your family members have met these requirements.

We got that about a month ago and since then not a word or any change at all in our status on the online tool, just says "decision made" for sponsor, and "application received" for applicant. Another week gone by and no changes. Early April 2016 applicant here.
The letter also had said recommended strongly to pay the RPRF fee as soon as possible, which we did. Guess more waiting, but to put the stress in perspective I noticed a thread with a few people still waiting that applied in 2015.
