Spousal Sponsorship in-land Applications 2016 timeline and updates

I applied on April 21 2016, Calgary, AB. I did my medical on June 02 and today was updated to passed....So for me was 10 days. I know it is frustrating. The worst part for me was that I didnt see on ECAS that is even received and I still dont see it lol. I dont really care now, as long as I passed exam

Nice nice! From what I keep hearing is, you can't completely rely on my cic or even ecas and some statuses aren't even changing AFTER they've gotten the landing interview haha.

guys i didint sleep lasat night because of my papers.. uhuhuhu i am stress right now! i sent the letter yesterday night before i wnet to bed.. do you have any idea how many days will CICEDMONTON reply with my email? i am planning to go to service canada just to ask some agent there about my case... uhuhuh dunno what to do now...

We didn't even get a DM letter until AFTER we had a landing appointment (2 days before landing, in fact)

You emailed Edmonton, right? It might take them a few days to get back to you. Most Service Canada locations don't deal with Immigration matters. You can try to call the call centre (888-242-2100), to explain to an agent there and try to get help. That's about the best I think you can do for now.

And be prepared to sue the ass out of your rep...

When did you file originally? WRT OWP, unless he can extend his IEC, I don't believe there is a way to go from IEC to the spousal OWP. You'd have to wait the 4 months. In that time, once applied for, the spousal OWP does grant him implied status until they decide on the package.

Hey I know he can't extend his IEC but I know that once the IEC is done he loses status. If we were to reapply again while he is not in status can he still apply for the OWP. Should I apply to extend his stay?
The app was sent May 26. I'm just worried about not knowing exactly whats gone on.

MP is member of parliament. They are government employees (civil servants) that represent you. Find yours here: https://lop.parl.ca/ParlInfo/Compil...rByPostalCode.aspx?Menu=HOC&PostalCode=K1S2P4

You can call them, and explain that you are trying to reach CIC to reschedule a landing interview, after your rep failed you. They can call them and get immediate assistance.

EDIT: Sorry I didn't see the note about paying until now. Yes, if you have not paid the RPRF (sounds like you didn't), you will have to have paid that before you land. Once you pay it, print the receipt, and bring it with you to the Edmonton office for proof that you paid it. Do you need the link to paying it again?

Well, it's way early to consider them sending it back yet. IEC when the OWP ends, I think there is a period of visitor status -- no? You can always apply to extend his status as a visitor. Ask for 6 months and explain that you are attempting to file for inland PR. They will likely see that's a truth by the time you apply. Again, he will have implied status until they "decide".

Sorry, I have a disdain toward representatives. Sometimes I wonder if they know less than the call centre agents (that's a pretty low bar)....

i am almost there my Final Stage!.. then Sh%$%T happens! i pay so much on my consultant i hope i get the best service needed!... and now he ask me to email cic instead of him.. he got every information about me to check his mail.. why the hell i should pay him so so much much and this is what ive got! i shouldnt pay him full amount of processing fee. this is what happen after you gave the money. uhuhuhu

So, I just called CIC just to make sure that it wasn't a glitch or anything like that and I was advised that our application was approved yesterday and everything will be sent to Etobicoke where a interview will be scheduled. Super excited atm.

One thing I'm learning thru this process is that its possible to be pissed off and really happy at the same time! OMG...

• I managed to get thru and speak to a representative about the notice they put on my account on June 3rd saying they needed additional documentation...but I never got a paper letter or email.
• I am pissed because it turns out they sent it to my PAID REPRESENTATIVE but he claims he never got it. F*@#*@
• I am okay because the request is simple: need to provide evidence of co-habitation...that we do indeed live together
• I am happy because they've extended my medical exam's expiration date to April 2018!
• Also happy because a decision has been made on my sponsor.
• Hopeful I'm nearing the end of all this.

Congrats on SA! Great news!

Now about the representative, do you still need him/her?
