I went to my MP's constituency office this afternoon and spoke with her Constituency Assistant. He made me sign a consent form to all them to IRCC on our behalf. He said they would call when hear get something. Hopefully we get an update soon.
I just checked MyCIC and the same message about requiring additional documents is there but is still no message regarding what they require.
One of my friend is planning to apply for inland spousal sponsorship for his wife, does anyone know the complete docs checklist and if the complete application package is sent online or mailed to CPC-M?

Hello browning911, we just reached our to our MP as well.. fingers crossed we will hear something soon..
It's been almost 11 months since our AIP and GCMS notes indicate that we are solely waiting up on the background check, which has been going on for many months now... this is getting extremely frustrating...
No. I don't have any criminal record. Neither here nor back home.
But two weeks ago I got a traffic ticket for tinted windows and not providing insurance. It was my in-laws car and they bought that car like a week ago from the day I got a ticket. So the car had windows tinted by previous owner, and we had the insurance on car but the temporary pink slip was just in our phone not on the paper. And that RCMP officer gave the ticket anyways because we didn't have it on paper. It's not due yet. I have to talk to the judge before paying it, since someone told me that it might get cancelled since we had the valid insurance. And when I went to the court they told me that I have to come on the date that's written on the ticket, which July 24th, to talk to the judge. So I waiting for that. I know that by law you have to have it on paper. I will pay the fine if doesn't get cancelled.
You think that could be an issue?
I doubt you have anything to worried about. Not that I know your history.. I'm just saying getting that would be more more hassle. Let us know how it goes I guess..
We requested on April 21 but made a mistake on the consent form and IRCC contacted us for an updated form on May 11, returned the form back to them on the same day and they sent us the the GCMS notes on May 19. So overall just under a month - although I somehow feel that our mistake made the process faster (and we also got the notes dated for May 12 instead of the original request date).

Yes. Just a normal ticket without any demirits. It was just a checkpoint. That's why I got pulled over. Otherwise it would have been no issue. But yah, as you said it's not a criminal offence.
I have a sponsorship application going on and I just renewed my open work permit. However, something strange just happened tonight of which I would like a clarification. I paid $255 for the renewal of the open work permit and it was renewed for 6 months. I was going through my credit card statement a couple of mins ago and discovered that a $100 was returned from the $255 paid. Has this ever happened to anyone? Did I overpay or the returned money was a mistake from IRCC?
Here is an interesting thing I found out while looking at mycic. They read my already approved OWP file at 4:40 PM EDT and at 4:58 PM EDT they read the application. I am guessing they had a quick look, found everything there and approved. Although it is still showing in process. So now we have an idea of how fast they look at it and decide.

Mia, I hope your MP can help you too. That is a long time to wait after AIP.
I just got an e-mail from IRCC Officer Solange acknowledging proof of receipt of cohabitation documents that we sent in March 2017. They did not request them we just sent them on our own.
