Hi guys, just wanted to know if GU1 is final decison in PR card application ?
As far as I know, it means your PR card application is processed and approved. Next would be the mailing thing left!
Hi all,
How does GU1 and GU2 look like? Is GU2 getting a date under document status above messages saying application status date?
@Hyper1013
Or it specifically says mailed out?

Not sure about that as I couldn't link my PR card application with my Gckey because I used a representative.
Is GU1 getting a date at the final decision?
also
@vital350 if gu1 can also be photo refusal, when and how will I be notified?

If your photo is refused, then they would email you.
Thanks
@Hyper1013
If anyone else can explain how GU1 and GU2 look like, it would be great help! If GU2 is simply a date or specially says mailed out.
eCOPR: Jan 7
GU1 for Final Decision: Jan 9th
GU2 for Mailed out: Jan 10th
Who will I receive it in mail? Now there is no strike in Canada Post, and I live in GTA area in Ontario.
From where is the PR card mailed?
Can you tell how GU2 looks?
Thanks

As far as I could gather from previous threads, GU2 is the date when they mail out your PR cards!

GU stands for Ghost Update
GU1: Under the "
Final decision" section, it looks like "January 10, 2025 (
GU1 date). Your application was approved. Check your messages below for details."
GU2: Under the "
Document Status" section, the column "
Status" looks like "We mailed your permanent resident card to you. Your card can take up to six weeks to arrive.". The column "
Status Updated Date" ==
GU2 date

Hey! Thank you so much.
This really helps.
For me it’s wonky, it shows final decision Nov 7 and says application approved. I am guessing I got GU1 per this.
Under document status, my status says your document is valid and status update date is Jan 9 (this is the date I got my COPR). I don’t know if this is GU2 since it does not say we mailed the card to you.
In my PR portal, my address has been accepted but not photo. I am worried that they will reject the photo now.
Any suggestions/insights anyone?
