The EE draws are lingering around mid 480s. Between 475 and 482 (This may 5 draw we are in) only 1800 invites were there for tech people 60 days ago. The health draw was 500 and getting additional 1500 invites next week. This means with just 2000 invites you are already looking at 475. And I dont think they will only invite 2000 tech people every 2 months (Ontarios last tech draw was in March). That number will be much higher and scores will likely drop lower than 470 because just inviting 4000-5000 tech people will drop the CRS below 470.
That being said its very much possible that for a PR stunt (Biden and Modi did some PR with H1B stamping that changed almost nothing) you might see the news next week-
"Canada invites 10000 Tech workers to apply for permanent residency in the largest draw ever" and drop the CRS to 460 and then don't bother to do one for months.
You really don't know what to expect in terms of numbers. But if I was entering EE with 465 right now as STEM person I would say stick to it for a year at least. You will get an ITA.
Hello! It's been over 25 days since I submitted my application for the OINP program. It still says submitted. Is it common for the application to take 25+ days before it gets moved to assessment? Thanks!

What if they are holding on reviewing the yet-to-be-reviewed OINP applications because of the upcoming Category based draws? As I assume most of these applications with NOI will be swept under Category based draws. Is anyone having similar thoughts?

I would expect it to be the other way. They should be in a rush to send the applications to the Assessment stage so the applicant can't get their $1,500 back given that many people might withdraw their OINP applications in the next few weeks.
not to bring down the morale here.
I submitted on 6/1 - still stuck at Submitted (very straightforward application package - Single, same NOC code thru out, US edu + work experiences). Very tempted to withdraw at this point given the new category draws.

I have the same profile as yours. At this point of time, I am just looking forward to a path that quickly processes my profile whether it is through OINP - NOI or via Category Based draw. Hope is something that brought me this far in regard to Canadian immigration. I still have hope that things work out well in one way or the other.
Guys! Who's in favour of taking this thread further to whatsapp? It's just more user friendly, and people can respond more conveniently and frequently there. Also, who knows if the 5-May OINP NOI folks wanna hang out later upon arrival to Canada for a pint or so lol

I don't think its fair creating a whatsapp group and disconnecting the forum. This is a public forum, and some of us have found useful information from some of the seniors that were left in some other forums as well which were made public and accessible to all, for information sharing. By keeping this forum public we are creating a timeline of information for prospective and future Canadians to estimate timelines, as well as avoid common pitfalls, whatsapp groups can be deleted, erased, and all that information lost. It's best for us to keep the forum public in the interest of everyone and for future references.

While I agree with this, it's also important to do some networking which will help in the future when people land. Some questions might also be time sensitive which forums may not always help in solving in time. I think everyone from WhatsApp will post here regularly regardless, its just that its a faster medium of communication than a forum.
