Hi Everyone!

I got my AOR in March and nothing since then... Anyone that received an AOR in March got their PR? I contacted my MPP and their response was:

Medical : passed
Criminality: in progress
security: not started
eligibility: not started

I am losing my mind haha

Same here.. AOR in March and nothing like nothing… even my Medical is not passed

The numbers in the last 2 sentences seem to be in line with IRCC’s announced 2022/23 Budget released at the beginning of this year. All this means for people who have received an AOR but nothing further (& also those still awaiting the start of processing/linking/AOR) is that they could be part of the remaining 9000 budgeted to receive PR before year-end 2022, or they may be part of the 32,000 budgeted to get PR in 2023. Let’s hope it’s early in 2023! Best wishes.

But as of July/Aug, they mentioned that they are more than 50k applications in process. They are still some people who haven't received AOR. I think they will release updated level plans for tr2pr in November. That might tell if they are gonna process everything in 2023 or not.

But were those 50k PRs or applications that were processed? Because 50k could also include family members

No, I am talking about 50k applications, which are in process /received AOR as of mid-July. https://www.immigration.ca/canada-immigration-backlog-hits-2-62m-despite-drop-in-permanent-residence-applications/

what's the use of just "in-process", 50k applications processed and PR issued should be more important. Because even I have AOR but it's been almost 15 months since I submitted my application and it's moving nowhere.

Current processing time shows 166 days ( 5.4 months on an average).

Stage 1 is when a case analyst reviews the documents you submitted and prepares a report.
Then, on stage 2 an officer will review that report and make the final determination of the eligibility.
