How will he return without a PR or Canadian passport?

It all depends on his dates of travel. Btw there is a link at the citizenship website where they issue a temp certificate to enable return, in case CC does arrive before he has to go.

Checked new tracker today and everything is complete as of 25 April except Oath. I have been scheduled for Oath on 16th May.

However, I have not received any email with details of the Oath ceremony. I have checked my junk folder too. Isn't that strange?

@notsniw817 and @michel_hammamet - if you get a chance could you please check the new tracker and see what date your Citizenship oath status was updated to In progress ?

Just wanna see if there is a delay between that date and when they actually send the email. Thanks

It was updated yesterday. Today I had the oath and become a Canadian citizen.

Just checked the tracker and it has changed. I was worried that Language Skills, Physical Presence and Prohibitions had not moved since January,
with my oath coming up on May 3rd. Now they have all updated to completed also showing the scheduled oath date.
Thought I would share this it happened in the past day or so.

I don't want to take any chance as the process of getting the Certificate and then Canadian Passport might be delayed as IRCC does not give any commitments. I have decided to postpone the ceremony. I have not yet received the email.

Hi congratulations it’s a great news for you , just wanted to ask how did you find out that you have scheduled for Oath ceremony on May 16th without email and no update on New tracker ? Please share your inputs as I have the same , my status is completed as of April 25th 2022 and oath ceremony is not updated yet however old tracker says decision made. Thanks for the help.

They always send the email 1 week prior to Oath ceremony date. Had my Oath yesterday , ceremony was quicker than expected. Now waiting for Citizenship certificates.

@Amitgilani the oath date shows on the new tracker now. As per Luc22's post above, apparently they only send the Oath email a week before the actual ceremony
