CIC will send you the BIODATA request later on in the application process. They
are going to email you the form which you fill out and email back.
No big deal, and nothing you have to do in advance.
well i applied under cec noc2283...im on open work permit and my spouse on study permit...both our permit expired on 30aug 2013. and we filed our application for cec on 8th aug.
we sent application together for bowp on 25th aug and was received on 29th aug.
we also have a child who is canadian and our complete family (parents nd bros) are PR's in canada...
so does my husband stand a chance for BOWP???

You and your husband are eligible for BOWP if you've held a valid work permit by the time
you've filed the BOWP application.
Since you've held a valid work permit you might get the BOWP approved, I'm not sure about your
husband tho. Since he had a study permit, and no work permit CIC might refuse his application for BOWP.
Since the requirements for the BOWP are that you have to have a valid work permit, that is about
to expire in the next four months when applying for the BOWP.
