Hello members.
I have submitted my application already and have just realised that for 1 of the job, 5 payslips have my correct designation/job title as “Architect”, however my last 2 months’ payslips have mentioned the designation/job title incorrectly as “Trainee Architect”.
I am now worried. I know I should have checked it before submitting, but I only checked the dates and pay. Will this be a cause for rejection/ misrepresentation? Should I raise a CSE and explain the mistake or should I wait and see if the case office needs any clarification. I wouldn’t have been so worried if the mistake was on the first 2 payslips as it would have shown I went from being a “Trainee Architect” to “Architect”. But it’s on the last 2 payslips.
Please help clarify the situation guys. Any inputs will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.

If your work letter clearly states architect as job title, no need to worry. It's not misrepresentation at all.
And as long as duties and tenure claimed in the work letter match your EE profile, you're good.
Payslips are just to prove that you regularly received your salary.

Yes. My experience letter, job duties letter, appointment letter, and 5 payslips all have it mentioned as “Architect”. The mistake is only in the last 2 payslips.
If they need clarification regarding that they will ask for one, right? Or they can even just call the employer and clarify, right?
I am just worried that it might cause refusal/rejection. Also does CIC give you a chance to explain yourself before the reject the application?
Thanks.

This kind of thing wouldn't not cause a rejection if it's a simple clerical error. If they have concerns, they will call and verify your employment.
And yes they always send you what's called a Procedural Fairness Letter if they have a strong reason to believe one hasn't worked where he claims he works. That's your chance to explain.
But no worries for you, this wouldn't concern you.

Thanks for the response and clarification. Good to hear that. I don’t think it’ll go to the point of PFL, just needed to know what happens. A call to my employer should clear things up if they need any clarification. I have requested my employer to reissue the salary slips with the correction, just in case there is an ADR.
Cheers.

Very good call.
If you want 100% peace of mind, you can submit them upfront via CSE. But I wouldn't worry about it though...

I have decided to wait. Raising a CSE might blow up the issue. I will order GCMS notes to see if there’s a problem. If there is one, I will raise a CSE then.

Hey morimotoyoshi86,
On an unrelated note, how did you decide on you NOC code as an architect?I am a little confused, and I am wondering if I should go with the NOC code of Architectural technologists (2251). I am afraid my 2 years of experience straight out of masters doesnot qualify me to be an architect, since i never acquired a license as well

If you are employed by a firm then a license is not required for your experience to be counted. NOC 2151 and 2251 are very similar. Check the job duties and lead statements. Select the NOC with which the lead statement and the most job duties match.

As long as your employment letter states your title and responsibilities along with salary, you should be okay.
You got ur decision though?.
thanks
