Working on and off campus while on study permit

Hi!

One of my friend is at a Canadian University doing his masters. He is on a study permit. In addition to study, he is working on campus 10 hours/week. The CIC web site mentions that students on study permit are allowed to work off campus 20 hrs/week.

Does the 20 hours limit include the on campus work he is doing? Would he have problem if he works for 15 hrs/week off campus in addition to his 10hrs/week on campus?

No. He can work a full 20 hours off campus as well, in addition to the 10 hours at the university
