Hello everyone,

I am little confused about Spousal work permit regulations. My husband is in USA and I am in Canada on Study permit. He wants to apply for spousal work permit. My study permit is valid till august 2016. I am aware that my husband can get work permit till August. However, once my studies are finished August, and I receive my permit, can he get his work permit extended irrespective of whether I have full time job or not? Is just having a postgraduate work permit enough to get his permit extended? Do I have to have a full time job to extend his work permit?

No - it's not enough.

In addition to having the PGWP, you must also have a full time job that is NOC A, B or 0 (skilled job) in order for your husband to qualify for an open work permit extension.
