I am currently working in University of Ottawa on work permit which will expire by the end of this month. Hence, I booked my tickets to India. However, last week I was told that my employer is interested in giving or extending work permit but from January onward. I am not sure about the possible and best solution from the below
1) submit work permit extension internally (from Canada) by giving a friend's address, and leave the country. Apply for visitor visa from India as it takes less time. Request the friend to post the work permit to India.
2) I am not sure whether CIC will post work permits to a different country.
3) Apply afresh for work visa from India.
I do not know which option is the best.
