We applied in January 2021 for my spouse PR under SCLPC class. We also applied for an open work permit at the same time. At the moment we have just received a confirmation our application was received with a temporary application number (that we can not link to our account, so we can not track where they are at with our application).
Her current work permit with an LMIA is expiring in July, but her company is not supporting LMIA application anymore.
We already checked Bridging Open Work Permit as well, but that does not apply for PR sponsorship.
Is there any way for her to keep working there, in case we do not receive her OWP by the expiry date of her current work permit?

She can continue working beyond the expiry of her current work permit under the conditions of her current work permit because she has submitted the OWP. This means that after her current work permit expires and while she is waiting for the OWP, she can continue working for her current employer (but cannot switch employers or jobs). Once the OWP is approved, she can change employers (if she wants) or remain with her current employer.
Thanks a lot for the detailed answer, really appreciate it. Very glad to know that she will still be able to work for the same employer while waiting for the OWP approval (even better as we do not have to apply for anything else ).
