I know waiting this long is such a hassle and we vent out our stress and everything, I am in the same boat as all of you.....our lives are literally on a standstill as we wait for CIC's decision, we feel that we should prepare anytime to go back to our beloved England....but i have stopped panicking and worrying..... as I believe the PPR and the visa will come not now but soon.....
If you go to different immigration forums, there have been correspondence from CIC that they will issue visas either by the end of december or early january....
Why it took so long for them to issue the PPR for a lot of people was first due to the summer time where CIC had to prioritise the TRV and student permits. Now for the rest of us.....my hunch is that they've already completed/issued the number of visas alotted for 2010 ..... and now that 2011 is fast approaching, CIC will have the new set of visas hence the above reply from CIC to some applicants who dared to ask....
Anyways, I wish all of you have a very happy Christmas and forget about CIC for a while!!!

from the time I have had our medicals to now, I had 3 communications from CIC.... 1 from Buffalo through Ecas stating that my file had been transferred to NY and 2 correspendence with NY through email; 1 in Nov to submit some documents and 1 yesterday that they have booked me for an interview and this will be by the end January......
