I am currently working overseas with my partner, but we are getting married this December. I will be leaving my job in May next year and returning temporaily to the UK for the visa process in London. I was planning on sending my application at the end of this year and hopefully have my passport requested and returned before I leave my current job in Korea. That leaves an almost 4 month window in which to send off and recieve my passport back. However, do you think it is a better idea to apply instead and send it in March/April time so I am back in London for possibly around the time they are requesting my passport. I am planning on being out of the UK until June time perhaps.

Thanks so much for your help!

Hi,

I suggest to apply while you are present in UK. Being your application will be under Spouce sponsoship, the time line can be shorter than you expect.
