LONDON TIMELINE FOR PASSPORT REQUEST (45 days)

I am sending my application on 1st April to the London Visa office for spouse visa (Canadian Married to UK National)
however, my spouse and I are currently working out of the UK and shall not be back until July 19th. Do you think we are giving ourselves enough time? I am worried they are going to request the passport before June 8th, then we wouldn't get in the 45 day window.

Do you think I could send a letter explaining this with my passport, or do you think we are giving ourselves enough time?

First of all the applications for spousal applications must be sent to Mississauga first for them to approve the sponsorship portion first. This takes approximately a month. They then send the application to London. Hard to say how long they will take but very rarely does an application get approved within 2 months. We have been waiting 3 months and 3 weeks from the very start and we just went into process in London last Thursday. Hard to say if they will speed up or if your case would go faster but you should be fine with that timeline. Good luck!
